Aug 2022 Intro to Carpentry Graduation

The following people completed the Introduction to Carpentry course at Tea Creek:

At Tea Creek HEO trainees are given intensive training with frequent 1-on-1 instruction with an experienced instructor. HEO grads are competent in:

• Pre-operation inspection

• Operating station pre-operation

• Competent operation of farm machines conducting farm tasks

• Safe operating habits

• Machine tasks such as bucketing, moving soils, excavating and back-filling, attach and detach of 3-point implements, grading, PTO operation, and trailering

Cannabis for Medicine

Cannabis for medicine focusses on preparing trainees to grow successful medicinal cannabis from seed to harvest. Trainees learned how to propagate from seed and clones, how to care for plants indoor and outdoor, how to troubleshoot and fertilize in different ways. They also learned how to harvest and properly cure a finished plant. Graduates include:

Introduction to Indigenous Professional Chef

Trainees worked in the kitchen under the instruction of a trained professional chef, and assisted with the preparation of hot breakfasts and lunches every day on site for trainees. Graduates include:
