Noah: Youngest Agrarian

Here are some bonus photos of Noah gardening over the years, since 2015.

Recently some of our story was featured by Young Agrarians Canada, through a profile of Noah. Noah started selling his plants at the Hazelton Farmer’s Market when he was only 11 years old, and we haven’t looked back!

Noah started actively gardening in 2015, as we started converting our lawn to garden in Hazelton. In 2017, he started going to the Farmer’s Market. We homeschool our two boys, so he has had the time and permission to explore and develop this passion for plants and food. In fall 2018 we moved to Tea Creek farm, and in 2019 we did our first gardening here. Noah grew a lot of his favourite plants - squashes!

Noah told me when he started that his goal and vision was to grow food to make people happy.

We envision a future where all youth who have this passion and gift for plants are able to explore and develop, and grow food to make people happy!
