COVID19 Response

The health of our elders and community members is a responsibility we take seriously.

We have the following protocols in place:

  • Social distancing (2m) between cohorts or bubbles is mandatory.

  • Regular hand washing or hand sanitizing is mandatory.

  • Masks and other forms of PPE will be provided.

  • Most activities happen outdoors.

  • On occasions where indoor spaces are used, masks must be worn at all times.

  • Anyone staying onsite overnight for any reason must be socially isolated for at least 14 days prior to sharing inside space.

  • Trips outside of town are limited to the absolute minimum, typically once every two weeks. All supplies are otherwise provided through local businesses for pickup, or through the mail.

  • Meals are always served outdoors, allowing for social distancing. Dishes, cutlery and cups are paper disposables. Individuals may bring their own refillable water containers.

  • Shared items such as certain tools and radios will be either used with individual gloves, or cleaned between uses.

  • Shared surfaces and spaces will be sanitized between uses.

We take heart that our programming is land based and outdoors, where the risk of transmission is “infinitesimally small” provided people keep their distance.

We are very concerned for the health of our elders and also for those who have health conditions. We take COVID19 seriously.
